Yoga Classes

Gentle Yoga

This gently paced class is perfect for newer and less active students as well as seasoned practitioners wanting a less aerobic and more reflective practice.  Gentle Yoga offers deep stretching, basic postures and some smooth flowing movement. Expect both floor-based and standing poses as you develop strength, flexibility and balance.

Yin Yoga

This deliciously meditative class epitomizes deep opening and mindfulness of movement. This class can include some slow and conscious movements along with longer held floor-based poses. In contrast to more active Yang, muscle-focused practices, Yin Yoga focuses on lubricating the connective tissue of the body (ligaments, tendons, fascia) bringing new and unexpected openings.

Clear energetic blocks, improve circulation and promote growth and flexibility in this mellow yet challenging class.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa yoga is a creative form of yoga where poses are linked together with the breath in a flowing sequence.
The beauty of Vinyasa yoga is the variety. There is no standard sequence in Vinyasa yoga, so the style, pace and intensity will all vary depending on the teacher.

Classes may be sequenced around a peak pose such as a backbend, or they might focus on a particular theme such as the chakras or an aspect of yoga philosophy. The class may be dynamic and focus on strengthening postures, or it may be a slower flow with an emphasis on mobility and flexibility in the spine or the hips.

Pilates

This class is designed to build core strength and muscle definition, it gives a total body workout that will strengthen the core, arms, and lower body. With consistent practice muscles become firm, toned and lean, and students start to see more definition in the abdominal muscles and back. Pilates classes help improve coordination, alignment, and joint stability, and are vigorous while remaining highly focused on correct alignment.

Private Yoga

Some may wonder what makes private yoga classes so special, after all, there are plenty of group classes to choose from, right? Well, most are really surprised by the differences when they experience a private yoga class for the first time.

Also known as yoga personal training or yoga 1:1, private yoga classes are an entirely different way of practicing yoga to a group class. These classes give us teachers the chance to tailor the practice to your unique body and to help you to reach any goals you may have. With my focus on one person alone, I can select the asanas and techniques specifically for the yogi on the mat rather than catering to a mixed group. As a result, you see faster progress in sustainable improvements for your health and wellbeing.

A private yoga class is an opportunity to have the practice adapted to your specific needs, so each private yoga class is different. Before we start, we’ll take the time to thoroughly discuss your needs and goals in a free consultation call and then again before each class – after all, each day is different. For some, this will mean taking lots of time to work on the alignment of basic asanas; for others, practicing more advanced asanas that don’t often come up in group classes. As well as breathing exercises, alignment, and meditation, we also have the time and scope to use a range of techniques that aren’t always available in an open class…

Corporate Yoga Classes

Corporate Yoga is a yoga practice that takes place exclusively in the workplace, often as part of an employee wellbeing scheme, or as part of a private yoga class.

The idea of corporate yoga is to bring a team or department together, increase employee productivity and improve workplace morale.
Corporate yoga sessions can be arranged so that they provide a break in the workday, as a way to de-stress at the end of the day, or as a way to prepare for the day ahead.

All corporate yoga practices include the foundational principles of yoga including physical stretching exercises, breathing techniques, mindfulness practice and relaxation techniques.
